Amusa Silver Unit 2 Part B

ACTION PLAN

My Activity

I have chosen to run a postcard activity because all of the created postcards could go up on the walls of the school when we are finished. We will pretend that Treasure House is a country and everyone who joins in can create a postcard.

I will have a box with names of things that could be on the postcards and participants can choose them randomly or look at them and choose depending on what they are most comfortable with.

Melanie says we can use her Copic markers so I can demonstrate to students how to use them.

Tee activity will force us to talk to each other because we will have to work together to decide what kind of country Treasure House would be.

I will be there as a drawing expert to help people with their artwork. I will have a teacher to support me with this and Melanie has agreed that it will be her.

WHAT PRACTICAL ISSUES DO I NEED TO CONSIDER?

I will need these things for my activity:

  • A space with a table for me and 43 or 4 people to sit at a time
  • A poster advertising my activity
  • I need Naomi to put my activity into the schedule for the day
  • I need this to be on a day Melanie is at school so it will have to be Thursday
  • I need a box of blank postcards but hopefully ones that have postcard information printed on the back
  • I will need drawing pencils and rubbers and sharpeners
  • I will need markers and colouring pencils

WHAT IS THE TIMESCALE FOR THIS PROJECT? WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN WHEN?

Activity week is the second to last week of school. This is the 11th – 15th of July 2022. I will run my activity on July 14th as that is when Melanie will be here. At the moment this is three weeks away so I have three weeks to make my posters and get all of my materials together.

PROMOTION. HOW WILL I TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS PROJECT?

I will ask Naomi to put it in the list of optional activities for Thursday

I will have a big poster advertising my activity.

DELIVERY. HOW WILL I INTERACT WITH THE PARTICIPANTS? HOW WILL THE PROJECT PLAY OUT?

As I said, I will talk to the participants during the activity and help them with their art as well as explain the concept.

HOW WILL I FIND OUT IF THE PROJECT WAS A SUCCESS?

This is very close to the end of term so there won’t be a chance to do a survey. So instead I will print out a feedback form that people can complete after doing the activity. I can also ask my teachers what they thought and judge myself against my leadership goals.
