Is the cost of materials prohibitive to learning a musical instrument?
Why I chose this issue
I play the piano to grade 5 and violin to grade 8. I have been lucky enough to learn two musical instruments but some of my classmates and teachers have found the cost of materials prohibitive. Some of my classmates are only starting to learn piano now at age 16. I wanted to find out about this issue because I believe it is an important one, but I didn’t have time as so many of my art lessons were disrupted by covid.
