My Project
Musical event to encourage others to perform at school. My silver arts award was music based and I improved my musical skills and confidence a lot at school. This project can help others do the same.
What makes a good leader
One of the main qualities a good leader needs to have is confidence. I believe confidence is the main quality a good leader needs to have because it shows that they can instruct others and know how to charge forward. I considered a range of leaders that I am familiar with. For example, I thought about kings, students, teachers and other famous figures. Another quality a good leader need is co-ordination because it shows they know how to use teamwork with others and rely on others for help.

My project idea
My arts leadership project is about organising a musical event for the school. The musical event will be about singing and playing instruments to certain songs. I will be listing the amount of songs for the people who are going to participate in the event. I will be listing the songs in a sensible order. I will also have to inform the other participants about what time it starts, what time they will have to be there, how many songs are going to be played and when to prepare. I will coordinate with members of staff so that the event can go smoothly. I will prepare meetings with a few teachers and students about the event.
Project Aims and Outcomes
The project’s aims are for the music event to run smoothly and efficiently. I aim to entertain people and make them feel happy after the event and for people to remember this event as a good memory.
This will develop my leadership skills by exercising my brain and seeing this project as a stepping stone for future projects/events. this will also help me develop multiple leadership skills because I will have to use different qualities for different people in this project. it will also help me explore different leadership skills and different leadership styles.
Working with others
I will be working with both students and teachers. Prince will be helping me. I will be delegating a range of tasks to him such as taking minutes of meetings, liaising with teachers and helping with equipment. Jason will also help with equipment and help the participants with practice. Owen will help with certain equipment such as lighting and he will give me feedback on my leadership skills.
Prince taking over here. Cael and I promise to bring a ton of variety to this gathering. Certain concessions and confectionery will be brought to these celebrations. We will ask the students and the teachers what kind of food they desire. We promise to bring them a wonderful feast as well as a final farewell.
Quote from Prince from the planning meeting
Judging the success of the project and monitoring progress
I will monitor progress by meeting regularly with students and teachers. I will have a big feedback poster at the event.
