An Issue in the Arts: Are Drummers overlooked in a band

My thoughts on this issue

  • Yes they are overlooked
  • They don’t get paid as much as the singer or lead guitarist
  • The drummer is more talented than the singer
  • Drums hold the whole song
  • Maybe Dave Grohl is an exception? Kurt Cobain was the main event because he was going to self-destruct.
  • Singers are often the main event especially if they are a big name.
  • Drummers seem to be more down to earth
  • Drummers should get paid more

My Thoughts

People are very uneducated

The biggest difference between drummer and lead guitarist was Oasis. People didn’t do great with Nirvana either. People were equally poor at U2 and equally good for The Rolling Stones.
