Public Showing
The trip was a shared day out so this is part of the public showing. We put photos from the trip on the school website. But another way that the leadership project was shared was through the animated association.
The Animated Association
I wanted to launch a comic book club at school and I made a poster to advertise it.
First Meeting: July 19 2024
For our first session we looked at the comics we had bought on the trip. We discussed the following questions:
Q1. Which of these comics do you like best and why?
Q2. Who is your favourite comic book character?
Q3. Do you prefer printed comics, animation or comic book movies?
Responses Q1: Neve looked interested in the Darth Maul ‘Star Wars’ comic and the ‘Transformers’ comic immediately and re-enforced that interest when asked. From knowing Cael I know he is interested in manga heavily and when asked he responded the he likes the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ manga series. I myself like all types of animated shows and watched lots of random ones as a youngster ranging from Ben 10 to Marvel. I definitely was drawn to the comic with Wolverine on the front and the Daredevil comic. The X-Men comic peaked my interest also.
Responses Q2: Cael stated outright his favouite comic/manga character was the main antagonist from the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ series. Neve didn’t have a select favourite character, she said she has too many to choose from. She likes a lot of different franchises. I myself like lots of different characters like Neve but to name a few i would have to say ‘Gambit’ from the X-Men, ‘Wolverine’, ‘Daredevil’ and probably ‘The Flash’
Responses Q3: Neve didn’t have one particular preference but she liked the “on-screen” material more. Cael stated he is of the same mixture as Neve but as Anime is mostly shows or animated series, it would be animation. I myself like the “on-screen” content the most as I like the accessibility and ease of watching and feel its a greater experience however, I do enjoy all forms mentioned in the question.

Owen has been amazing today – both working on his own project and helping Cael to finish his. Owen has been exceptionally proactive and leader-ly!!
